A TRIBUTE TO DR. MARK ROLAND EVANS
Late Chairman and Co-Founder, FilBrit International Academy UK
It is with deep gratitude that we honour the life and legacy of Dr. Mark Roland Evans, the esteemed Chairman and Co-Founder of FilBrit International Academy UK, whose vision, wisdom, and unwavering dedication have left a lasting mark on the global educational community.
Dr. Evans passed away peacefully on 25 September 2025 at the age of 66, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of educational excellence, innovation, and compassionate leadership. He was a devoted husband to Mrs. Mayet Malang-Evans and a loving father to Emily, Max, Kurt, and Ynah, as well as a proud grandfather, cherished brother, and dear friend to countless colleagues and associates across the world.
Born in Wales, United Kingdom, Dr. Evans dedicated his life to the pursuit of educational transformation. An accomplished scholar, he studied at the United World College of the Atlantic and earned his first degree in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University, followed by several postgraduate qualifications and a doctorate in education and related disciplines. His academic excellence laid the foundation for a distinguished career as an educator, school leader, consultant, and international education strategist.
Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Evans became widely respected for his expertise in educational quality assurance, school inspection, leadership development, special education,
and international curriculum enhancement. As the founder of several educational enterprises, including Penta International, FilBrit Training Centre, and FilBrit International Academy UK, he championed the belief that quality education should transcend borders and be accessible to learners from diverse backgrounds.

At FilBrit International Academy UK, Dr. Evans played an instrumental role in shaping the institution’s vision of delivering globally recognised and inclusive education. His leadership was characterised by intellectual rigour, strategic foresight, and an unwavering commitment to empowering learners and educators alike. He inspired those around him to pursue excellence, embrace innovation, and uphold integrity in all educational endeavours.
Beyond his numerous professional accomplishments, Dr. Evans will be remembered most for his humility. He possessed a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, offering guidance, encouragement, and genuine kindness. Colleagues admired his wisdom and humility, while friends and family treasured his warmth, wit, and generous spirit.
To many, he was more than a leader – he was a mentor, a visionary, and a source of inspiration. His passion for education was matched only by his deep care for people, and his influence extended far beyond boardrooms and classrooms. Through his mentorship and advocacy, he touched countless lives and helped shape the futures of students, educators, and institutions around the world.
As we remember Dr. Mark Roland Evans, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and distinction. His legacy continues through the institutions he helped build, the communities he strengthened, and the many individuals whose lives were enriched by his guidance and friendship.
We remain eternally grateful for Dr. Evans’ immeasurable contributions and steadfast dedication to the advancement of education.
Though he is no longer with us in person, his vision, values, and enduring spirit will continue to guide FilBrit International Academy UK for generations to come.

Yes, we offer online tutorials for Homeschool, Bachelor's Programme, and the ALS (Alternative Learning System) programme. These online options are designed to provide flexibility and accessibility for students who cannot attend in-person classes.
Absolutely! FIA-UK hosts a monthly socialization session for our students and teachers. We have "Fun Days" where we visit parks, zoos, museums, and other establishments. We run several school programmes in addition to Fun Days, like School Fairs, Sportsfests, Talent Shows, Theatre Plays, and more.
